The right type of dive for you
Mermaid Diving welcomes all divers (and non-divers) and caters for all qualifications: PADI, BSAC, etc. Solo divers or groups are all welcome and please do not hesitate to contact us with any queries you may have. Gio, our Dive Manager, is always happy to answer any of your questions. We run dive trips daily, weather permitting throughout the year!
Boat Charters
Mermaid Diving strives to accommodate your needs. If
you wish to charter our boat, or would like a group booking, we can
help to organise your dive trip and make it a diving holiday to remember!
For those wanting to dive solo we can find you a buddy for your dive.
Our extensive knowledge of dive sites in the area stems from our dedicated
instructors and the knowledge from our Mermaid Pleasure Trips
skipper. We have a large portfolio of sites that cover all levels of
diving. Feel free to call us to discuss your needs and to find out about
group discounts. Safety is paramount to us. You will receive detailed
boat and safety briefings which we expect everyone to adhere to. We
also give full Dive Site briefings including depth, features and points
of interest. We also provide surface support crew, who among other things,
will record your air and dive time and also adds that additional level
of safety.
Please note that current log books and certification cards are required
from you and every member of your party. We will not allow anybody to
dive without these documents.
Guided Dives
We offer guided dives of local dive sites. You will be guided by one of our knowledgeable guides and accompanied by a safety diver. These are excellent for the first dives of the season or if you haven't been in the water for a little while. They are also ideal if you're new to diving, have little experience with shore or boat diving in UK waters, looking to build up your confidence or just fancy being shown around by an experienced guide. A guided dive will enhance your diving experience and can take the stress out of trying to find your way around a dive site. Your guide is well acquainted with the dive sites and can show you the hiding places of amazing underwater creatures, canon's and other hidden treasures! We do these dives from our boat or from a local shore diving site, which is widely claimed to be the best shore dive in the country!
Try Dives
Try dives are an excellent introduction to the world of SCUBA. We hold these in the comfort and safety of a local indoor pool, with a specialised dive pit. Try dives are run by one of our experienced and patient PADI qualified Instructors or Dive Masters. They are a good way to find out if diving is right for you, for children, or to encourage non-diving friends and family members to become your new dive buddy! These trips also make brilliant unusual gifts - we even do gift vouchers! Try dives are great value for money at only £20 per person including equipment. Try dives are available for ages 8 upwards.
Scuba reviews
We recommend that you undertake a SCUBA Review if you have not dived for an extensive period of time. These courses are held in the comfort and safety of a dedicated dive pit at a local indoor pool. This course refreshes the skills you learnt in you Open Water course and is an excellent way to get back your confidence. The SCUBA review aims to get you back on top form and ready for a shore or boat dive.
Snorkelling
There is amazing snorkelling to be found round the Cornish coast. A guided snorkelling trip is the best way to see the marine life without having to go completely under the water! No experience is required and all equipment is included, a bargain at only £20 per person!
Courses
At Mermaid Diving we run courses as required. We have OWSI, MSDT and IDC Staff instructors working for us, and can arrange any of the PADI courses you require. Please call or email to discuss your requirements.
